Faith in God’s provision.

Faith in God’s provision.

As we continue our series exploring Abraham’s faith, we discover that deep rooted trust in the promises of God that he will provide everything we need is certainly a journey! Abraham sometimes got it right, and sometimes got it monumentally wrong, but God continued to love him and continued to provide for him.

Jesus, in Matthew 6, says - “So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Today we consider what it might look like to relinquish control over to God, to trust his promise that the will provide all we need, and to learn to walk by faith, and not by sight.
