As part of Serve the City, Community Nights are a time to engage with our unhoused and in-need neighbors in a meaningful way. This is our first Community Night and we are actively seeking volunteers. To sign up to participate, email noah@bread.church!

For four weeks starting on October 8th, every Wednesday at 7pm in the Chapel at bread, we will be introducing Everyone Gets to Play! It will be like the Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About the Holy Spirit course, but will be more practical and workshoppy, with loads of room for discussion and input from others who’re already on this journey. 

We’ll explore what it means to make a real difference in our world. Every single Christian is someone with enormous potential to bring extraordinary, significant, lasting change to the world. But so often we feel stuck, powerless or without purpose. This course is about experiencing how God, by His Holy Spirit, empowers us. So that we can bring good news to a world in pain; heal all types of emotional, spiritual, and physical sickness, and release people from religious, societal, and spiritual oppression.

Everyone is invited, it doesn’t matter how little or much you know, how long or short a time you’ve been a Christian, or how much or little you have experienced of God - Everyone gets to play.

It's time for another speed dating event hosted by the Bread Singles Social Club. We will be starting at 5:30pm on Sunday October 5th at Edendale, a restaurant/bar that continues to be a gracious host (be sure to be kind to them and buy food/drinks if you can!).

Queerly Beloved is a gathering where LGBT and queer-identifying Christians can worship, fellowship, and grow together in Christ. We exist to walk alongside one another in navigating the complexities of church, identity, and the Christian journey, building community and celebrating God’s all-encompassing love.

We will be meeting at the bread offices monthly (5631 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028).

Grab a picnic and join us for a park hang at Mountain View Park (1401 W Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91506) after church. The bread kids team is hosting this one and will bring some snacks and drinks for all to enjoy (but also BYOLunch). We’ll have some sort of sport, thinking either kickball, whiffle ball, or ultimate frisbee (Or all three!?). 

Kids and adults alike are invited and encouraged to join!

Come by the bread offices for a time to meet, pray and worship with our queer members of the bread community.

We will be outside at Stoney Point Park in Chatsworth. We'll meet there at 3pm and climb & hang till 6 or 7ish, then whoever wants to join can go get dinner at Los Toros Mexican Restaurant nearby. 

Cost will be $5-$6 per person for crash pad rentals, plus dinner (optional hang).

Every year, The Independent Shakespeare Co. hosts "Shakespeare in the Park" all month long. On Thursday, July 24th, bread and co. (Nelly!) will be hosting a gathering, and we hope you can join. 

It's free--so bring your friends and your own picnic and plan to meet up at 6:45 before the show starts at 7pm. Meeting place TBD.
