General Weekend away questions
-
A: Your deposit, room registration and Tahquitz Pines Resort amenities
-
A: You can arrive as early as 2pm Friday, October 24th, and weekend away will formally start at 8:30pm. Weekend Away ENDS 2pm Sunday, October 26th.
-
A: Yes! We will still have church, but NOT IN HOLLYWOOD. Our church service will take place at 10:30am on Sunday at the Tahquitz Pines Resort. It’s open to all!
-
A: Kids are welcome with open arms at weekend away. In fact, we chose Tahquitz Pines this years in part because of how kid-friendly it is. The amenities and space for the kids to play, bond, and explore is like night and day compared to years previous. Your kids won’t want to leave by the end of the weekend.
-
We’ve updated our meal plan! This year, you’ll have two options for meals during the retreat:
Purchase on-site meals—for an additional cost, 5 meals will be covered through the on-site cafeteria.
Bring your own food—or eat in town—there are a few local restaurants nearby!
-
A: No! We will have plenty of activities to do while on the campus, but we encourage you to explore Idyllwild as much as you’d like during our free-time between sessions. You won’t be stuck at Tahquitz (but there’ll be plenty to do if you want to stay put).
Registration questions
-
A: Per person! Each suite/cabin is equipped with unique amenities and varied square footage, so the value of each suite/cabin varies. The per person cost for each suite/cabin, naturally, decreases when registering with more people. The cost of food and the resort’s amenities is incorporated in each registration option, regardless of the suite/cabin you register for.
-
A: The cheapest adult option is sharing a Van Ness room (2-full beds or 1 King bed).
-
A: There are over a dozen types of suites/cabins at Tahquitz Pines, so we’ve consolidated the options into 3 option. For adult only reservations, the Van Ness is our most economic option, followed by the Gramercy, and then the Wilton. The Van Ness is most similar to a hotel suite, where as the Gramercy and Wilton are individual cabins. The cabins vary in additional amenities, including private patios, fire pits, dining areas, and/or jacuzzi tubs. Each registration type notes the type of amenity your cabin may have, under “Learn more.”
-
A: Like the adult reservations, we’ve consolidated the dozen + suite/cabin types at Tahquitz Pines into 3 options. The Franklin is our most economic option, followed by the Hollywood, and then the Sunset. The Franklin is most similar to a hotel suite, where as the Hollywood and Sunset are individual cabins. Both cabin types have Bunkbed rooms for kids. The cabins vary in additional amenities, including private patios, fire pits, dining areas, and jacuzzi tubs. Each registration type notes the type of amenities the cabin may have, under “Learn more.”
-
A: Each Franklin suite has a connected sister suite. Which means that, if you reserve the CONNECTED ROOM option, you are reserving two rooms, a KING BEG room, and a 2 FULL BEDS room. You may also select just one of the two rooms for a lower cost.
-
A: Yes! You have 1 week from your initial deposit (which reserves your room) for your remaining roommates to pay a deposit. If they’ve not put down a deposit after 1 week, we will reach out to you to figure out the best rooming situation.
