Raised in Birmingham, Alabama, I am a Southern native who flew the coop to Los Angeles over a decade ago to attend USC. I had my first tastes of matcha, KBBQ, and street tacos and never looked back. Now, I spend most (all) of my free time camped out in east side coffee shops or trying new restaurants, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
I came to bread over 5 years ago (March 2020, remember that month/time?) knowing I was missing something in this crazy expansive place that can often feel lonely. I was raised in the church (practically from birth) but hadn’t quite found my home in LA. Even on Zoom, I was immediately struck by level of community and depth of faith of each person I met. We came back IRL and I hopped in full-force to all things bread.
I think this faith thing is one of the most surprising, fulfilling, and beautiful aspects of the human experience. It’s a blast and an honor to get to serve our community. Don’t be a stranger!
